Semi Homemade Three Ingredient Tomato Soup
There's nothing better than a bowl of creamy tomato soup to have on a chilly day, maybe even on the side with a grilled cheese! This recipe is only 3 ingredients and totally customizable based on your personal preferences/needs.
- 6 cups broth of choice (I use bone broth!)
- 2 cups all-natural tomato sauce of choice (I use Rao's brand)
- 2 tablespoons butter (Can swap for ghee, vegan butter, or a splash of milk/cream)
Combine all ingredients in a large stove pot.
Cook over medium heat until butter is melted and soup is warm, but not too hot. Stir well.
Transfer small batches at a time into an immersion blender, and puree.
If needed: strain soup before transferring to a bowl. I had to do this because my tomato sauce had artichokes in it, and I found some unwanted string-like pieces of artichoke in our soup!
Heat up and enjoy, and transfer the rest into storage containers.
You can enjoy this soup on its own or, speaking from personal experience, it goes fabulously on the side with a grilled cheese!
Keep refrigerated and enjoy this three-ingredient tomato soup within ~5-6 days after making it.
